Why does my icon have a white background on my phone's home screen?

This is controlled by the 'background_color' property in your PWA's manifest.json file. Android uses this color as the background behind your icon on the home screen. If your manifest has 'background_color': '#ffffff', your icon will appear on a white circle. To change it to black like popular apps (Perplexity, Dicta-Notes), simply edit your manifest.json and change it to 'background_color': '#000000'. Then remove and re-add the app to your home screen to see the change.

How do I make my icon look like popular apps with black backgrounds?

You have two options: 1) Edit your PWA's manifest.json file and set 'background_color': '#000000' (recommended - most flexible), or 2) Generate a new icon with 'black background' in your prompt to bake the background directly into the image. Yes — completely. The AI that generates icons (Google Imagen 4 on Vertex AI) understands prompts in any language. A Spanish speaker can type 'escudo azul con estrellas doradas' (blue shield with golden stars) and get exactly that. The same applies to Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, French, or any other language. You do not need to write prompts in English.

Does my language preference save between visits?

Yes. After translating the page, click 'Save as default' in the language dialog. On your next visit, Imagcon will automatically detect your preference and translate the page for you — no clicks needed. Your preference is also detected from your browser's language settings, so non-English speakers often see the app in their language automatically on first visit.

Yes. Imagcon has a REST API with long-lived API keys (ic_live_...). Generate your key at imagcon.app/api-keys. For AI coding assistants, install the MCP server: claude mcp add imagcon -- uvx imagcon-mcp --api-key ic_live_... Then ask Claude Code or Cursor to generate icons and they'll appear in your project folder. Each call uses your credit balance the same as the web UI.

Does the translation apply to everything — including notifications and messages?
